2o12, Apartment for Designer. Paris
– Interior Architect for Privated Client
"It is as trembling as an apprentice that I approached the man with the blue apron, and that I respectfully begged him to teach me his secret" (Adolf Loos, 1930). In the heart of the 14th arrondissement in Paris and a few steps from the Gare of Montparnasse, the modern architect Bruno Elkouken built in 1936, at 142 of the Avenue de Montparnasse a remarkable apartment building. A curved and refined facade, the building follows the principles of modern Parisian masters. It is within this construction of the Thirties that we present a project of transformation of a small studio of 36sqm. The studio of 36sqm, formerly poorly insulated and dark, has undergone a radical transformation. Now offering a large living room and a nice little room to its owners, it has metamorphosed into a very small, finely decorated cocoon, as we are looking for in the capital. .
